What is MakerStock?
MakerStock is a production management application designed for makers, manufacturers and workshops selling through BigCommerce. It fills the gap between the online store and the workshop: where BigCommerce handles orders and the storefront, MakerStock manages raw materials, manufacturing recipes, production runs and finished goods inventory.
The app installs directly from the BigCommerce App Store and authenticates automatically via the merchant account — no separate account needed.

- Artisan food workshop (jams, spices, supplements) needing to manage precise recipes and justify production costs.

- Team with multiple field operators who need to access the tool from a phone, without access to administration functions.
Synchronisation with BigCommerce is bidirectional on the product catalogue. Here are the key flows:
- The product catalogue (name, SKU, selling price) is imported from BigCommerce and kept up to date.
- Each BigCommerce product can be linked to a recipe. When a sale occurs, MakerStock automatically calculates the batches consumed and deducts the corresponding raw materials (FIFO method).
- MakerStock's internal stock remains separate from BigCommerce stock, providing a distinct view of stock available for sale and physical stock in the workshop.
Desktop / mobile philosophy
MakerStock uses a two-interface architecture, designed for two profiles with very different needs. This separation is intentional: it ensures each user only sees what they need for their role.
